Do you know how to spend your vacation? Khao Lak Safari is a trip to the unique places of the National Park of Phang Nga province. In the morning, a minibus picks you up from your hotel. You spend the whole day exploring the most beautiful and interesting places of the National Park located quite near Phuket so the way there does not take much time. Therefore, this trip is definitely suitable for parents with children. You start with Khao Lak, which includes 5 unforgettable places to visit. What places do you see?
The most historical and significant place is “Wat Suwan Khuha”. This stopover is also known as the “Monkey Temple”. At the entrance, you can feed monkeys coming from the trees to watch curious tourists. These friendly creatures are glad to take bananas and other fruits right from your hands. You come across these animals along the outside part of the temple.
The inside part is completely different. There, you can find a fifteen-meter golden statue of the reclining Buddha. This is one of the architectural values of modern times, which you have a chance to see with your own eyes. The temple is actually a cave with stalactites and stalagmites of amazing forms. The shape of the rocks and the dim light remind you of some scenes from a mystical movie.
The main highlight of the trip is an unforgettable elephant trekking. Before you ride a mighty animal, you can enjoy circus tricks and massage from the baby elephant. This is what you have never seen.
After such a show, you go for a ride. For your safety, there are double seats with a seat belt on the top of the animal. The mahout directs his animal and sets pace for the trekking meanwhile you admire your trip.
Only Indian elephants are used for the trekking. They are not aggressive but well- trained and well-paid for their work. In Thailand, even elephants have their rights as well as a timetable and appropriate care. If animal rights are violated, the violator goes to prison.
After ridding, you have another exclusive entertainment – bathing a baby elephant. It is well- tamed and always happy to cool off in chilly water with you.
It´s a nice place for a family. A small waterfall is fascinating. Its beauty and scenery of the surrounding nature are really worth a visit. Here you can dive into chilly water and enjoy the natural hydro massage. At least, once a life it is worth a try.
One of the most exciting stopovers is bamboo rafting. You have an unforgettable rafting down the river. There is no tension, just a great admiration of the wild nature and indescribable beauty. Jungle, tall trees, animals and the current escort you to the next stop.
Upon arrival, all rafting participants have a traditional dinner. You can try the best dishes of secret recipes only by visiting the Khao Lak National Park.
There is a big variety of sea life inhabitants in Thailand. Visiting the turtle farm, you can see crocodiles, a great variety of sea urchins, exotic fish, as well as long-lived creatures of our planet - turtles.
There are rare and unique species on the turtle farm -from newborn baby turtles to 80-year-old reptiles. If you like sea dwellers, this stop is definitely for you.
Our trip is coming to an end. It is time to go back to Phuket.

Would recommend this trip to anyone! Our tour guide Joy was so lovely and bubbly, she gave us very good information on all the sights and things of Khao Lak. A good amount of time spent at each location too.

My friend & I went on this tour and found it be a great experience. We were picked from our accomodation in Rawai & found the transport (mini bus) to be extremely comfortable with great air conditioning. We visited all of the must see sights in Khao Lak and had a wonderful guide who had great knowledge of each spot we stopped at. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area.
