Tour details
Khao Sok + Cheow Lan lak
Would you like to see Thailand in all its glory? The trip around Khao Sok Reserve and Cheow Lan Lake is a good opportunity to enjoy the natural environment. Forget about your gadgets for one day and enjoy the picturesque beauty of the best places in Thailand.

The first part of the activities
A comfortable minibus takes you from your hotel to the Khao Sok National Park.

Elephant trekking
The first stop is an elephant base where you ride this animal through the jungle and along the river bank. The mahout always stays by your side. You can also lend him your phone to take a few nice pictures of you. Having returned to the base, you can buy bananas to feed your elephant.

Elephant trekking gives you an unforgettable feeling. If you have never tried it then, you are sure to feel the power and grace of this great animal.

Monkey Temple
The next stop is the Wat Suwan Khuha Temple, also known as the monkey cave. The holy place was built inside a huge rock. Near the cave, you see the old Bodhi tree. . The legend says it was this very kind of tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment.

At the entrance, you see the fifteen-meter golden statue of reclining Buddha and a big number of other statues. Going further, you see a wide staircase leading to the next cave - a light cave. There are royal family seals on the wall there. The next cave is named a dark cave where you can take great photos of stalactites.

After visiting this place inside, you can enjoy a company of monkeys, which are glad to take sweets from tourists at the entrance to the cave. These little creatures come down from the trees to get goodies.

Attention! Do not try to take away food or things from monkeys. Cute at first glance, they can bite or scratch you.

The second part
Having finished the land part, we are moving to the water part of our excursion. It all starts from the viewpoint that offers unforgettable scenery of Cheow Lan Lake. This artificial reservoir of 165 km^2 is the largest in the southern part of Thailand.

After a spectacular view on the top, it is time to go down.

Heading off to the houses on the water
Going down to the pier, we take a seat on a long-tail boat. There is a local highlight on the lake - 3 rocks appear from the water named Guilin where you can get a fantastic photo.

The landscape is fascinating. The large size of the reservoir gives the impression that this is a small sea. Its structure, in the form of corridors separated by high cliffs, is also enchanting. The way takes about 50 minutes. Upon arrival, you have lunch.

Restaurant on the water
The active part of the trip is ahead of you so it is time to have a good meal. There is a restaurant serving traditional Thai dishes and drinks. What’s more, any time you like, you can drink a cup of tea or coffee for free.

Free time
On the floating base you have 3 hours to relax. You have an opportunity to choose how to spend this time. You can go canoeing to explore the area nearby, jump from the pier and swim in the cleanest water, or you can get on the pier and admire the beauty of untouched nature while sunbathing.

This is a very good tour for families. Highly recommended. Gives you a tour around the area of the most significant attractions. Our guide pointed out some interesting facts along the way. You get to stay long enough at each location to absorb the view, take pictures, ask questions, and leave with a memory.
