Hello everyone)! We’d like to leave a review. We went on a tour with Tropic. Our guide was Gennady. The excursion included rafting and an elephant spa. Beforehand, we had read reviews and were still unsure whether to go or not. We went—and did not regret it at all. It was amazing! There were 2 adults and 2 children (12 and 14 years old).
We had so many impressions, starting with the monkeys at the Reclining Buddha. Then there was a park (they said it’s in test mode), and the monkeys there were just awesome. Rafting was a whole separate adventure—the kids and we were thrilled. The tour ended with the elephants—they were simply wonderful!
It was very informative (the guide did a great job ✊). He answered all our questions and gave us a lot of information we didn’t know before. The whole trip was fun and educational. Thank you so much!
We really enjoyed the excursion—it was very colorful and memorable! We had a wonderful guide, Nastya, and we want to say a huge thank you for her dedication and engaging guidance.
We really enjoyed the excursion with our guide Anastasia! She is cheerful, energetic, positive, and tells stories about the locations in a very engaging way. She answered all our questions and was always ready to take photos of us—and did it amazingly well.
The excursion itself was also wonderful—just the right balance of activity and fun. We highly recommend both Anastasia and the tour ❤
Thank you so much for a wonderful time, engaging conversations, diverse locations, and a storm of emotions. Special thanks to our amazing guide Anastasia. Everything was clear, interesting, and full of unforgettable impressions!
n excellent excursion with a full program. Rafting and ATVs were pure fun—just amazing! The impressions are unforgettable. Special respect to our guide Roman—he shared and showed us so many interesting things.
On April 18, 2025, we went on an excursion to the Phi Phi Islands by catamaran. Let me say right away—the trip was organized at the highest level.
We were picked up from our hotel in the Karon area at around 6:00 AM, and it took about 30–40 minutes to get to the marina. Upon arrival, our guide welcomed us and offered coffee and cookies. There was also an option to buy coral shoes for 100 baht and rent towels and fins.
About 15 minutes later, we departed as a group on the catamaran. It was a large, spacious vessel with an upper deck, a restroom, and refreshing drinks on board.
We visited many amazing locations. First was Maya Bay, where you can take stunning, colorful photos. Since we departed early in the morning, the beach wasn’t crowded at all. After the beach, we stopped for snorkeling over a coral reef (masks were provided). Even my 7-year-old child swam with a mask and watched the fish.
From the catamaran we also saw Monkey Beach and Viking Cave. We made stops to swim and relax in Pileh Lagoon. Then we had lunch on the beautiful Phi Phi Don Island. We arrived first, which was a big plus—no crowds. Lunch was a buffet, very decent and tasty.
Finally, we spent a couple of hours swimming and snorkeling at Bamboo Island (Bounty). The water was crystal clear and refreshing, and there weren’t too many people on the island. You can also spot a monitor lizard there.
I rate this excursion a solid 5+. Since we were traveling with a child, it was very important for us that everything was well organized, safe, and without unnecessary stops. I definitely recommend it!
A great excursion! Of course, it’s more focused on families, so there wasn’t much extreme activity—everything was safe and calm. But it’s perfect for getting to know the jungle. The only thing that was a bit disappointing: on the rafting, there was an option to choose a longer and more exciting route—but unfortunately, it was offered to everyone except the Russian-speaking groups.
As for the organization, everything was precise: we were picked up on time and brought back according to schedule. The drivers were careful.
And we were lucky with our guide—it was the wonderful Baurzhan. Very professional guidance and pleasant communication.
We booked three excursions — Similans, a sightseeing tour, and Avatar. Everything was at the highest level. Transfers were on time, the guides were wonderful. Special thanks to manager Yaroslav. I highly recommend TROPIC TOURS! This is not the first time we’ve chosen their excursions. 🌴✨
Mixed experience at Camp Chang Kalim: cheap, but not serious.
Pros: The hotel transfer went smoothly — we were picked up almost on time, and the ride didn’t take long since we were staying close to the park.
Organization: The park has only about 45 elephants, so when there are many tourists, long queues are unavoidable. You’ll have to wait quite a while for your turn to ride.
Price & quality: The rental cost is indeed lower than competitors, but the impressions match the price. The route is short (around 150 meters uphill), the photos taken by the staff are mediocre, and the trail is messy — bottles, wrappers, and bags are scattered all along the way.
The biggest disappointment was the mahout’s behavior. During the ride, he casually ate from a plastic container and then… just threw it into the bushes! Eating would be fine, but littering in a park that should be kept clean is unacceptable.
Pushy sales: At the end of the trip, the mahout took time for “mandatory” shopping — insisting that we buy souvenirs. We refused (we didn’t have cash and didn’t need them), which immediately earned us a wave of displeasure from him.
We booked a tour to the Similan Islands. The departure was supposed to be from the Sarasin Bridge, but in the end, from Karon we had to drive almost 2.5 hours to another pier. I didn’t really like that.
But overall, this is one of the best excursions. Even though the boat ride takes another 1.5 hours, the views were beautiful. The staff were great, explained everything, and served water, soft drinks, and fruit almost after every stop. Don’t expect much in the way of excursion stories — you are going there to see! Snorkeling was offered several times: the underwater world was very beautiful (though not like the Red Sea), with many different fish, and we even saw a turtle!
On March 15, 2025, we booked a tour to Coral Island by catamaran (comfort) through the website. It was magnificent! The service during the trip was of a very high level. Comfortable and fun! The catamaran was fantastic! Lunch on the island was very tasty. Watching the sunset was the perfect way to relax after the heat — just great! A big thank you to you and the locals for such service and care during the excursion!
I would like to leave a review about the excursion to the Similan Islands.
The trip took place on March 5. The guide’s name was Alisa, but we never really understood if she was actually the guide, since there was no real interaction with the clients. She didn’t tell us anything at all about the islands. She spoke very quietly on the boat, and with the engine noise nothing could be heard.
The boat itself was very small, and with that many people on board it was very uncomfortable. Upon returning to Phuket, we had dinner — but again, the guide said nothing and was one of the first to start eating among the tourists.
Later, another group’s boat broke down, and we had to wait in the sun without any information. Eventually, some male guides suggested that we sit in another bus with air conditioning while waiting. It was strange that this came from other guides, when we supposedly had our own.
Overall, the islands are very beautiful, but the way the excursion was carried out was disappointing.
We went to the Similan Islands on February 27, 2025, and it was the best excursion of all the ones we took. The islands are incredibly beautiful, with breathtaking views from the viewpoint. There was enough time to swim at the beach, where we swam alongside small colorful fish. One of the brightest impressions was snorkeling — we were lucky enough to swim with a sea turtle. We took a million amazing photos, and next time we will definitely book a two-day tour here.
The islands are magical.
But the tour operator’s service was terrible.
We went by speedboat with the early group. These speedboats are not suitable for such trips at all — 2 hours of hell one way and then 2 hours back. The boat was jumping on the waves so much that your spine felt like it was cracking. Too many people, very cramped. For the whole two hours you had to hold on with both hands, trying not to fall and not to get sick. It was so exhausting that you almost forget about the islands themselves.
By the way, the early departure was at 4 a.m., and still, there were already lots of people on the island. Maybe if you go later, there would be even more.
The food was tasteless — just a really cheap set. Meanwhile, other people on the island had better meals with other operators.
In short, I would not recommend this speedboat under any circumstances. They need a different type of vessel. This was simply unsafe! The only positive side was the guide — he was friendly, explained everything, answered questions, and accompanied us properly. No complaints there.
Tropic Tours
Thank you for your feedback! All Similan tours use this type of boat. In other programs, the same boats carry 45 people, while your group had 38. On your own photo, you can see there were only a couple of boats and the beach was still empty. Unfortunately, there were waves at sea that day, which can be uncomfortable. In any case, we wish you a pleasant holiday and fond memories of Thailand.
I would like to share about the excursion to the Similan Islands.
It was pure delight! I have never seen such beauty before. The islands are extraordinarily stunning. The water is crystal clear, like a tear, with incredible aquamarine shades. The scenery is so breathtaking it makes your head spin. This is something one simply must see.
The organization was excellent from the very beginning. The transfer arrived on time, breakfast was waiting at the pier, and we were greeted by the guides. Our guide was Ivan — and I would like to speak about his role in more detail. Ivan explained everything clearly, gave all the necessary instructions for staying on the islands, and kept an eye on everyone to make sure no one got lost. On each island, as well as on the way, there was water available, along with Mirinda and Coca-Cola for those who preferred. Of course, lunch was included, and upon returning to the port, we were served dinner with wine.
On the last island, after jumping in the waves to my heart’s content, my level of carelessness reached its peak — I forgot my bag with money and valuables. I noticed the loss only when we were already far from the island. I told Ivan, and he reassured me, saying not to worry, that he would find it and bring it back on the next tour. He stayed in touch with me, and how happy I was when Ivan informed me that he had my bag and personally delivered it safely to my hotel. It was touching to tears.
A huge thank you to Ivan for this act of kindness! 🌊💙✨
We would like to sincerely thank the team, especially Ivan, Stanislav, and Alexey, for organizing our tour to the Similan Islands. First of all, everything was arranged at the highest level — clear instructions on where, when, and at what time. There were three stops for diving and swimming on turquoise beaches. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and got so many impressions!
In the morning we were served breakfast, throughout the day drinks were always available, and in the evening there was dinner. Transportation back to the hotels was also well organized. A huge thank you for such a wonderful experience! 🌊🌴✨
We took a tour to the Similan Islands. Unfortunately, the tour left a very bad impression. The boat was overcrowded, in my opinion they took too many people. At 15:10 we were told to gather, but then had to wait another 30 minutes. After arriving back, we were supposed to get into buses and go to the hotel. BUT our driver was more than an hour late. When he arrived, he was smoking and then chatting with a Thai woman. Only after one of the tourists got angry and said loudly: “Let’s go already!” did he finally start driving. It even seemed like he was just circling the same road twice while smoking. I do not recommend this agency to anyone!!!
Tropic Tours
Thank you for your feedback! We always recommend choosing the early departure + comfort option. This program has its advantages and fewer people on the boat. Regarding the return transfer, we have forwarded all information to the office. Wishing you a pleasant holiday!
From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank Yaroslav, the manager of Phuket Tropic Tours, and his team for their professional approach, customer focus, and friendliness.
We booked three excursions with this company: the Similan Islands, Phi Phi, and a sightseeing tour around the island. All excursions fully matched the stated program, time schedules were strictly followed, the organizers/guides/assistants were young and energetic, and the speedboats were equipped with everything necessary — clean and well-maintained everywhere.
For both Similans and Phi Phi, we had the earliest departure — and I highly recommend choosing this option to witness the sunrise at sea and be among the first to enjoy the islands’ beauty.
I absolutely recommend Phuket Tropic Tours: the prices are reasonable, and the service is at a high level. I paid in rubles directly to a card — everything was transparent and honest!
The professionalism and patience of manager Yaroslav were evident even in our correspondence. I work in the service industry myself, so I know how challenging it can be at times.
To the entire Phuket Tropic Tours team — I wish you an excellent season, prosperity, and all the best! 🌴✨
