See the surroundings of Phuket from a viewpoint. There are several on the island, and each deserves attention because it allows you to explore the island’s beauty from different angles. Visiting all of them in one day is unlikely, but we recommend visiting at least a few as part of the sightseeing tour. To make it easier to choose, here is the top 10 viewpoints in Phuket.

1. Big Buddha

The Big Buddha is a landmark temple of the island that everyone should visit to experience Phuket’s culture. Next to it stands a 45-meter-high marble statue of Buddha, and nearby is one of the most famous viewpoints.

Getting to the Big Buddha hill is easy. A 6-kilometer winding road leads there, and the trip is worth it for the beauty and the peaceful, serene atmosphere that reigns at the viewpoint.

2. Promthep Cape

Promthep Cape is the most popular tourist spot. It is always crowded with visitors arriving by private transport or tour buses. The viewpoint is a well-known location. Nearby, there is a lighthouse and a Buddhist monastery. The area also has a restaurant that offers breathtaking views, especially in the evening when the sunsets are spectacular.

3. Rang Hill Viewpoint

From this point, you can admire the southern part of Phuket, Phuket Town, and the Big Buddha. The lush greenery here is not only loved by tourists but also by wild monkeys. If you bring bananas, you might be able to make friends with them.

There are restaurants on the hill where you can relax after walking through the park.

4. Monkey Hill

If you didn’t see monkeys at Rang Hill, then head to Monkey Hill, where you will definitely meet these playful creatures. However, be very careful here – the monkeys might steal something valuable. It’s best not to tease them with food, keep your belongings secure, and ensure your pockets and bags are closed.

5. Windmill Viewpoint

Windmill Viewpoint is located between Ya Nui Beach and Nai Harn Beach. It’s a small viewpoint, so it’s often not very crowded, making it a peaceful place to enjoy the scenery.

From here, you can see the island of Man, and the sunsets are breathtaking!

For those who want more than this list, we recommend visiting another stunning viewpoint. It is located 25 km from Phuket on the mainland. A few years ago, very few people knew about it, but now it is becoming increasingly popular.
